Mudgee Shiraz

The 2022 BLACK Shiraz was made by winemaker Robert Black who is originally from Orange but now calls Mudgee home.  Fruit is sourced from Mudgee. The wine is a dark garnet red in the glass and the bouquet exhibits a mixture of red tree fruits – plums and cherries with a subtle lift of sweet spices and vanilla. The full bodied palate is fruit driven with mouthfilling blackberry and black cherry characters with further weight provided by the new oak (25%) and fine textural tannins.  This wine can be enjoyed now but it will benefit from cellaring for the next 12 – 15 years.
